Math Heroes

Math Heroes 1 is a free iOS game by the same group that made Dragon Shapes that teaches Math to children.

The game teaches the fundamental parts of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Children progress through levels by solving problems and an accompanying ninja animation brings the answer to life. Rewards are given based on the amount of correct answers. The reward system coupled with the unique animations will keep small children entertained while learning.

The study of Mathematics has become paramount in schools, and any type of enhancement that solidifies STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) subjects is considered favorable. It is especially desirable because it is fun and the child really does not see it as a true educational game, but more of a personal challenge to perform at his or her best. The game acts as a platform for creating, building, and making things that could lead to a future in STEM careers.

Parents can track how their child is progressing and have the information emailed to a specified email.

This app has a plethora of content for free and with the ability for a parent to monitor a child it becomes a definite download.

Some questions to ask your child:

Are they clicking at random or do they understand the math behind the animation?

Why do they like the style of this game?

Can they use what has been learned in other settings?
