Bloxy World
Bloxy World is an iOS game that mimics the popular building toy LEGO.
The app allows for children to create lego like designs in a virtual environment. Basic blocks are accessible by default with the ability to move, color and place them. In this mode, the user has control to create what they wish.
More advanced blocks and kits are available for purchase through the app.
This game allows for children to learn through play much like those who use actual Legos. Fostering creativity and spatial learning is imperative along with the preliminary learning of STEM subjects, especially developing engineering skills.
This free app allows children who may not have the ability to get physical Legos to play and learn with a similar concept. For small increments of in app purchases far more blocks can be obtained for a much lower cost then physical versions.
For a mobile experience of Legos this is a must have for children.
Some activities to do with your child in this app:
Ask your child want they want to build.
Have them explain why they are building it.
What would that structure be like in the real world or what is similar that they can think of?
